Accounting
Accounting holds the chart of accounts, receivable and payable invoices and their payments. Expenses, Procurement and Assets post their journals here, so nobody keys them in twice. It is a compact core and does not yet replace a full accounting package.

Record sales and purchase invoices and track payments against each one. Every invoice produces its own journal, and a posted journal is never overwritten.
Read the trial balance for any period. At month end the accountant closes the period so nothing more is posted into it.
Advance settlements, matched purchase invoices and asset depreciation post into the ledger on their own. Each one is booked once, even when it is sent again.
Not yet. It covers the chart of accounts, invoices, payments, the trial balance and period close. Financial statements, tax returns and bank reconciliation are not there, so keep your current package for those.
No. It records invoices to track what is owed. It does not issue e-invoices.
So that advances, purchase invoices and depreciation from the other apps land in one ledger with balances and closed periods, instead of a separate spreadsheet in each team.
